Disability Arts Club is a friendly and caring space where students are offered ways to talk about disability, feel connected to others and gain a sense of self-discovery while making their own art. Students will learn through the Social Model of Disability and see how artists, such as Frida Kahlo, Vincent van Gogh and Yinka Shonibare, have used their art to explore ideas of identity and empowerment in the world.This 6-week course is for all, whether disabled or non-disabled, and will include a study trip to a contemporary exhibition where students can learn more about the Disability Arts Movement.
